OUR STORY
How we met....
While we'd love to tell everyone that we met crossing paths at park or even on a night out at a bar. The truth is that it was a much more modern way. We met on an app called Bumble. Erika was traveling making her way from San Antonio to Dallas when she came across the guy she had described to a friend a few months earlier.

Sal was minding his own business when his Bumble app sent him a notification that Erika Martinez had swiped on him. He took a look and said oh yeah she’s cute and swiped right to make the connection.

A few minutes later he got a message saying “hi”! He jumped right in and asked her what five words would she use to describe herself. Crazy was near the top of the list and he was caught hook line and sinker.

The early part of our relationship took us from Austin to Miami to Japan, a pandemic, and finally to North Carolina. Nearly 7 years later we continue to be who we were when we first met. Loving, fun, understanding, and most importantly a team.
How I proposed!
Although I had plenty of ideas for an elaborate proposal, I ultimately decided to keep it intimate and meaningful by proposing at home. With the other important man in Erika’s life capturing the moment, I couldn’t think of a better way to record it than using the Vision Pro—fitting for our Apple-loving family.
As Erika was heading out, distracted and excited to visit her favorite store, HomeGoods, I gently took her by the arm, dropped to one knee, and, with tears in my eyes, presented the ring she had always dreamed of. With all the love in my heart, I asked her to be my wife.
And of course… she said yes!!
